ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Cassia Carpenter and my life is all about family, love and adventure. I was born in Itauna, a small town in Brazil and now, I live in Seattle with my family and two puppies.

To describe myself, I am a loving mother, a true friend and a person who loves to create things. I have worked in a nursing home as a therapist since arriving in the United States and I have learned that you can be alive and not live. You need to live happy now, because “LIFE IS TODAY”. I have felt there was something within me that was missing, and I wanted to look more inside myself to see if I could understand. I came to the conclusion, that I needed to follow my instincts. I was afraid with the changes I had decided I needed to make however, day after day, I could see myself growing. I began to play guitar, a lifelong dream. With every door I open, I am seeing a bigger and better world. Don’t let yourself procrastinate the happiness you dreamed your life would be. I now feel much happier by doing things that represent who I feel I am.

I became interested in, and started to work with leather because I wanted to make a leather apron that would last my lifetime. As a little girl growing up in Brazil, I remember cooking was a very big deal for our family. Every weekend, we used to gather together at grandma’s house and the feeling of family togetherness is what I remember and it made me feel secure and fulfilled. I want my kids to remember cooking with their mom together, as a family, as I did and to have the same fond and fulfilling and loving memories. The leather apron is a symbol of that memory so, I decided to design and to sew leather aprons not just for myself, but for families and friends as well.

I make my aprons to be unique, simple and elegant and I want to share that with you. It’s all about family, about gathering, and that’s my form of happiness. I believe little signs in life will give you clues, and that all you need to do is just recognize them and not be afraid to reach out and catch them. When it feels right, you need to follow your dreams, and go where the wind is blowing.

The real art in life is to know, follow and create your own universe, a world of love, kindness and memories that represent what you know to be YOU, and feels right for you.

The best things in life are the simplest.
